An Introduction to Tui Na (Chinese Massage)

Tui Na literally means push-grasp. It is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) alongside cupping, moxibustion and acupuncture. In Chinese Massage we stimulate acupressure points and channels with our hands rather than with needles. It’s aim is to restore the natural balance of Qi, Yin and Yang and to unblock stagnant Qi and Blood.

Stagnant Energy

If we think of a river filled with trees and detritus we can see that the flow of water has been blocked. In the same way the pathways in the body can become blocked. Acupuncture and Tui Na can be used to clear these blockages.
